Ulysse Caromel’s PhD has been funded by the CIEDS.
Our work
Since April 2024, Ulysse works with me on developing the code PHARE. Ulysse is in charge on developing the MHD model in the code and merge it as one of the available models in the “multiphysics integrator” of PHARE. Ulysse has written a multidimensional Finite Volume Godunov Hall MHD solver and merged it to PHARE Adaptive Patch Hierarchy. In the following of his PhD, Ulysse will couple his fluid plasma model to the Hybrid-Particle-in-Cell model evolved on finer levels of the patch hierarchy.
Ulysse’s AMR Hall MHD solver is presented at EGU 2025 in Vienna
