2019 M2 internship
During her internship, Bayane worked with me on modeling the position and shape of the Earth magnetopause with machine learning. She collaborated with my PhD student at the time, Gautier Nguyen, on the automatic classification of near-Earth plasma regions using THEMIS, Double Star, Cluster and MMS data. Magnetopause regression models built during this internship were later used in Ambre Ghisalberti’s internship to model the bow shock, and become a major milestone in Bayane’s methods to reconstruct the magnetosheath and magnetopause spatial structure.
2020 M2 internship
In this internship, Bayane studied the structure of the magnetic field in the magnetosheath as it drapes around the magnetopause. She compared in situ observations from THEMIS, Double Star, Cluster and MMS with analytical models. Results from this internship were the premises of her PhD thesis.

After
After her PhD obtained in March 2024, Bayane won a NASA Postdoctoral grant to work at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
